ICP Nurseries Celebrates National Apprenticeship Week
National Apprenticeship Week is an annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships across England and is a time to recognise and applaud apprenticeship success stories across the country.
Here at ICP Nurseries Limited we have used this as an opportunity to promote the success stories of our learners. As a group of 33 nurseries based predominantly in London and the South East, we value greatly the level 2 and level 3 childcare qualifications that Eden Training – our training partner – currently offer to over 50 of our staff.
Lucia is currently undertaking her Level 3 in Childcare at our Northcote Nursery in South West London.
She stated “I am currently studying my level 3, having achieved my level 2, and I am already learning so many more interesting things. I’m learning in depth about safeguarding, which is very important. Also, I’m learning about children’s development, and how to improve and help them to meet their milestones. I’m finding the level 3 qualification very informative and necessary to develop myself professionally and to further my career. I have a big support network whilst I am studying my level 3 including my Nursery Manager, Kelly Walton, and my work colleagues as well as my tutor. They are helping me with all I need. I’m very pleased and grateful to them and the Company in giving me this opportunity and support to do it. “
In addition to this success story , another childcare practitioner, Leah from The Park in South East London explained “I came to work at The Park Nursery 2 years ago straight from school to become a nursery assistant in training, I am now qualified as a level 2 and working as a key person, which has built my confidence enough for me to move forward and start my level 3 which I am working hard to achieve.”
Tracey Storey, CEO said “all our staff have access to a wide-range of development and training opportunities and, in particular, we work closely with Eden Training to provide the level 2 and level 3 qualifications to those staff who are embarking on their childcare career”.
